Svend represents the Danish Actuarial Association (DAA) on the CERA Treaty Board.

He graduated as an actuary in 1993 and joined DAA. The first years he spend at the university as PhD student and later Assistant professor. In 1998 he left academia and pursued a career in the insurance industry. He has worked within both direct and reinsurance P&C companies, and within both pricing, reserving and capital modelling. Currently he is managing a reserving team for a direct insurer. Svend has over the years been an active member of the DAA. He is at present a part of the Accounting and Solvency Committee.

Svend obtained the CERA certification following the EAA courses.
