Ofer has more than 35 years of experience in actuarial and senior executive management roles. He worked for 12 years in the UK as an actuary at Liberty Life and as a consultant at the Willis Towers Perrin London office, followed by 19 years as the Chief Group Actuary and member of the Management Board of Clal Insurance Company, Tel Aviv, Israel.
He then moved on to consult and advise various insure-tech startup companies and be part of their Advisory Board.
Ofer is currently serving as the Chief Actuary and Senior Deputy Commissioner for Insurance Innovation at the Israel Capital Market, Insurance and Saving Authority.
He is a Fellow of the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Israel Actuarial Association and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA). He is currently a Board member of the CERA Global and the Chairman of the Education Committee of the Israel Actuarial Association for which he served as Past President for 6 years.
Ofer holds a B.Sc. from Tel-Aviv University, Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial sciences from London City University and an MBA from both the Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University in Chicago and the Recanati Business Schools of Tel Aviv University.
