Janette Larney is a senior lecturer in actuarial science at the Centre for Business Mathematics and Informatics, North West University, South Africa.

She is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries as well as the Actuarial Society of South Africa, and is also a Certified Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA).

As the accreditation actuary of her institution she is responsible for the management and quality assurance of its actuarial science programme.

She actively contributes to the actuarial profession by serving on and chairing various ASSA committees and she also serves as the course leader of ASSA’s Applied ERM (C100) course.

Janette has been a member of  the Global CERA Review Panel since 2013 and was appointed as chairperson in December 2017.
