CERA reaches 7,000!

CERA: the Globally-Recognised Risk Management Credential Reaches 7,000!

The CERA Global Association (CGA) is pleased to announce that Kyle O’Donnell has become the 7,000th person to earn the prestigious CERA (Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary/Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst) credential.

Kyle is a member of the Society of Actuaries in the USA and Associate Director with Humana, focusing on membership analytics in our Consumer Growth division.

Kathy Wong, Chair of the CGA, is delighted to congratulate Kyle on this significant achievement and to recognise this important step forward for global risk management. “As the global community faces ever more complex risk challenges, there is a need for skilled enterprise risk management professionals.  The CERA credential is one of the most comprehensive and rigorous risk management qualifications available.

The education and experience required to obtain the credential ensure that CERAs are able to identify, analyze, and manage the full spectrum of risks faced by financial and non-financial organizations.  The CERA educational materials and requirements are reviewed continually, and the CGA Board completed the most recent update of the syllabus just a few months ago.  It is important that CERA training stays current and recognizes the changing nature of strategic, operational, financial, and environmental risks.  Kyle and the other CERAs around the globe add value to the enterprise risk management function of the organizations they support.

Kyle says, “Having worked toward the CERA designation for a long time, I am humbled to be the 7,000th recipient.

“I have always been interested in connecting my actuarial knowledge with strategic work, and the things I learned in achieving the CERA designation have helped me do that.

“CERA will help me broaden my career experiences to work on corporate strategy, which is my ultimate goal.”
