Malcolm Campbell

Malcolm Campbell is an experienced consultant in the financial services industry, specializing in actuarial and risk management issues. He studied mathematics and statistics at the University of St Andrews and qualified as an actuary in 1985. He is a member of Svenska Aktuarieföreningen.

Malcolm served as Chief Actuary at Skandia from 1987 to 2001, working with the development of new life insurance and pension enterprises in a number of different countries. In the 1990s he developed Skandia’s first Risk Policy and subsequently a risk framework, which laid the foundation for a CRO function.

Currently Malcolm is principal of Aktrisk, consulting in business development and risk management with a particular emphasis on solvency 2 and ORSA implementation.

Malcolm has been on the Board of CERA Global Association since its formation, and has also served on the CERA review panel. In addition he is currently past chairperson of AAE (Actuarial Association of Europe) and past President of the IAA (International Actuarial Association).
