Bio Wilhelm Schneemeier
Wilhelm has over 20 years of working experience in German and International Life Insurance Business. Since 1994, he is working for the Swiss Life Group in Munich, Germany, where he is a Member of the Board since 2002. Being the Chief Risk Officer for the German market for more than 10 years, he became a renowned expert on the Enterprise Risk Management of an insurance company.
Next to his professional activities, he is actively involved in the management of the Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung e.V. (German Actuarial Association, DAV). As a member of the Executive Board, he was responsible for the DAV education system for more than five years. Today, he serves as vice president of the association and he is the designated chairperson from 2015 on.
Wilhelm also supports the international work of DAV. He is member of the CERA Treaty Board and is a Delegate in the Insurance Committee of the Actuarial Association of Europe.
In 1986, Wilhelm gained his doctorate in mathematics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He is a member of the DAV and has been awarded the CERA designation in 2011.
